The Price of Advocacy
These letters are only the tip of the iceberg of what I was put through. So many lies have been instigated by the defamation, and together, both have shattered more than my reputation. They broke something inside me. There have been times, lasting months, I cried endlessly. I couldn't eat. I couldn’t sleep. At times, I didn’t want to exist. The pain of being defamed, of being cast as a villain for simply trying to help my son - it nearly destroyed me. People often say time heals, however, lies, left unchallenged, linger. I need to defend myself. The truth has to be told. Going public is a demand for accountability. |
